When it comes to health and fitness, proper nutrition is more than half the battle. Oh yes, it says MORE THAN HALF. It is not, as many people believe, 50/50 between nutrition and exercise. Exercise is only a small part of the work.
Your true dedication to reaching your goals is revealed in how much effort you put into proper nutrition. I certainly have seen you all come into the gym and give it all you have in the hour that you are here. Your dedication to the exercise portion of your journey is inspiring....but that's not all. Keep in mind that it's only a fraction of the work that you must put in to see the results you desire.
Many of you have a weight loss goal. You are only going to get so far with just exercise. With all the effort that you are putting into your workouts it should pain you to hear that you're still only doing a fraction of the work. Do you truly want to reach your goal? Do you? If the answer is "yes", then put the same amount of effort into your nutrition as I see in your workouts. Just as with any other goal or achievement in life it is much more difficult to be successful if you are only putting in a fraction of the work required.
To put it harshly....if you are only working out and not working on nutrition....you are "half-assing it".
Now, think about how much sweat you leave on the gym floor and what you put your body through during the WODs. Does it sting a little to hear me say you are "half-assing it"? It should. You are definately NOT "half-assing it" in the gym....but in your total journey to your reaching your goals.
If you are only putting in a fraction of the work you should only expect a fraction of the results. That's how important nutrition is. You really want to see results, commit to proper nutrition. Make that commitment now....not Monday, not the next time you workout, not after this weekend's birthday party....NOW.

If you're not sure how to get started or need some guidance on how to properly fuel your body, I recommend you start by reading CrossFit's recommendation to nutrition Crossfit Journal #21.
CrossFit recommends the Zone / Paleo diet. Having the Zone portion focus more on balancing and quantity while the Paleo focuses more on quality (caveman diet). By reading CFJ #21 that will get you started, but certainly ask us if you have any questions or need any guidance.
If you want to see results put in the effort.
